Summer 2008 Pottery Camp Schedule

Play in the Mud at The Painted Plate….

And not just mud, but all kinds of other stuff….

One Week Camps $150.00 plus tax = $162.19

Getting Ready for School – August 4th thru 8th from 9:30 am to noon

Monday – Jewels for you, me, and the fridge – Using clay we will create beads, medallions, and magnets.  We will make our own beads, barrettes, magnet pieces, medallions, and pins to wear and give.

Tuesday – Telling Time – We’ll take a plain plate and make our own clock using paints and imaginations.  With this clock you won’t mind getting up in the morning for school.

Wednesday – Notes and Reminders day 1 – Using a large wall plaque (8.5”x8.5”) we will make the first half of this project… a dry erase board.  Your board can have any design you like…

Thursday – Notes and Reminders day 2 – On the other side of our dry erase board, we’ll make a chalkboard by painting chalkboard paint and decorating the edges with glaze or puffy paint.

Friday – Casual Day Shirts – We’ll use fabric paints and wax to create our own design on a t-shirt.  Then we will assemble our clocks.

We will break for a healthy snack.

Pre-registration is required – deposit of one-half the fee (plus tax) to hold your place – balance due first day of class.

Most classes require the dexterity and hand-eye coordination of a 5 year old.  Therefore, we ask that the minimum age of participants be at least 5 years.

Home school classes are available.  Please contact The Painted Plate for information.

The Painted Plate offers pottery workshops for children and adults.
